Commis Chef
The Client 
Our client is well established within the hospitality industry and is looking for a Commis Chef to join their kitchen brigade. The chosen candidate will assist with the preparation, service, ordering and control of food, cooked or uncooked, and ancillary items to agreed standards.
 
Key Responsibilities
Communicating and reporting to the seniors and support them in the daily operation and work
Preparing meals or foodstuffs according to the menu specifications by the Chef de Partie
Assisting in the kitchen preparation and the buffet service area
Packing and wrapping items for the outlet
Acting as demi Chef de Partie in his/her absence
Being responsible for the cleanliness of the personal station
Maintaining the standards of health and safety 
Controlling and checking items of equipment the food stock
 
Requirements
Relevant qualification from ITS
Ability to control a buffet service area and keeping it stocked and well presented at all times
Excellent team player
Ability to work under pressure
Knowledge about all Health and Safety and food handling procedures
Motivation to learn and grow within the company
