Marketing & Events Coordinator
The Client
Our client is a leader in the local fashion industry managing a number of stores specialising in casual and sportswear. The company is experiencing major expansion and is currently looking for a Marketing & Events Coordinator.
 
Key Responsibilities
Event planning, designing and production while managing all project delivery elements within time limits and budgets
Working closely with internal customers to identify their needs, the scope of events, budget and to ensure customer satisfaction
Scouting locations for events
Conducting market research, gather information and negotiate contracts prior to presenting to manager for approval
Providing feedback and periodic reports to stakeholders
Organising facilities and managing all event details such as decor, catering, sound and video systems, any other equipment, entertainment, transportation, location, invitee list, special guests, promotional material etc
Ensuring compliance with insurance, legal, health and safety obligations
Cooperating with marketing and PR to promote and publicise events
Proactively handling any arising issues and troubleshooting any emerging problems on the event day
Managing partnership communications, including regular outreach calls/meetings, recap meetings and presentations
 
Requirements
Good organisational and planning skills
Excellent written and verbal communication 
The ability to work on multiple projects at one time under pressure
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Have strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends
Strong IT skills
Good knowledge of marketing techniques, including Social Media
The ability to be a team player
Good creative skills
Fluent in Maltese & English
