Maintenance Technician (pharma)
The client
Our client is a pharmaceutical company forming part of a worldwide presented group of companies. They are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to work at their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Malta.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and troubleshoot process, material or equipment problems to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure equipment is efficiently and effectively operated, make adjustments as necessary and reports defects and malfunctions
  • Develop, assemble, produce or modify existing and new tooling fixtures and equipment to ensure efficient facilities and productions methods.
  • Complete engineering studies to quantity processing times and identify areas for process improvements
  • Schedule, complete and document routine maintenance on facilities and manufacturing and test equipment.
  • Read schematics, assembly drawings, data sheets and process sheets to perform testing, build fixtures, checkout and troubleshoot equipment. 
  • Perform tests, gather data and write reports
  • comply install and maintain the requirements of Health and Safety, other relevant legislation, and facility policies and carry out fire alarm tests.
  • Compiling SOPs related to the area of responsibility.
  • A minimum of MFQ 5 level of education is required.
  • Experience in a similar position in pharmaceutical or medical devices manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
  • Be responsible and organised person who enjoys working in a team
  • Be a pro-active, flexible and systematic person, with a positive attitude towards work.
  • Ability to work under pressure and good time management skills
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Good command of English is a prerequisite; knowledge of Maltese and Italian will be considered advantageous.
